What are you doing to make things better with CAP? The time has arrived to showcase your CAP experience through the CAPfolio Contest. We want to hear what you did — from the research to the civic actions to the impact you made.caprolio

Guidelines

Create your own CAPfolio that: 1) Focuses on a specific problem or issue, 2) Explains why it’s important to you and/or your community, and 3) Illustrates your civic actions to learn about and influence public policy.

Eligibility

Students who are currently enrolled or previously enrolled in CAP are eligible to enter.

How to Enter the Contest
  1. All contestants must register on the CAP web site to enter the contest.
  2. Log in to the CAP web site and upload your entry. The deadline to enter is June 2, 2015.
CAPfolio Requirements

Follow the guidelines above. CAPfolio entries must incorporate all CAP Planner Forms and at least one of the following:

  • PowerPoint (up to 15 slides)
  • A short video, e.g., a newscast or public service announcement (up to five minutes)
  • Photos
  • Other multimedia
Assessment Criteria

Your CAPfolio will be critiqued based on whether it:

  • Adequately describes the problem or issue.
  • Explains what change is important to your community.
  • Describes the civic actions that you completed to learn about or influence public policy.
Judging

Entries that meet the assessment criteria will be considered for the following awards:

1st Place $200.00
2nd Place $125.00
3rd Place $75.00

If your submission is larger than 2MB, please submit your entry via a file sharing service and email it to david@crf-usa.org.
