What type of healthy food would you like your cafeteria to serve? Is the quality of the food good or poor? What changes do you suggest should be made to improve our lunch menus so that we can have more students actually eat during lunch time?

Filtering Sewer Water Before it Reaches the Bay

For those of you who live in the Bay, water collected from the streets don't get filtered before it reaches the bay.  Do you think that the fact that sewage water doesn't get filtered before it reaches the ocean. Does this contributes largely to ocean pollution?  And for those of you who do not live in the Bay, would you consider Ocean pollution a big problem?

School Parking Lots

Our goal is to help those who drive to school get to class on time. The traffic coming to school causes students to park in the spaces towards the back of the lot. This leads to an increase in the amount of time it takes them to walk to class and reduces the time they have to go to their lockers. Not only will this help those who are driving, but also the students who get dropped off. Parents and student drivers struggle to get into the parking lot quickly enough because of all the traffic. By opening up the parking lot in the back of our school, students will have more convenient parking spaces. Those who have classes in the back of the school will be able to get to class faster. Parents will have to deal with less student drivers when dropping of their kids in the front of the school. Overall, this will help the flow of traffic and also make the roads safer because drivers won't have to rush as much.

How Should Schools Utilize Their Funds Properly?

Francisco Ramirez

On an annual basis, schools are given money to issue throughout the school. However, the problem is-- do they use it properly. Recently, at the high school I'm attending, the school has bought lanyards for our ID's, and hired workers to remove the old gum off of the school grounds. It's understandable that the lanyards are for security reasons and the gum removal is for-- to make the school nicer, However, there are problems in the school that need to be adressed: there aren't enough books, or the insides of the buildings are in need or renovation since some classes do seem like safety hazards. Yet, there isn't a student council that is able to adress this properly. What do you believe should occurr? Should there be a student council? And is this a major problem?
